From the heart of NJ, during the frigid winter of 2005, emerged this 5 piece metal outfit. A band whose name alone underlines a fierce, uncompromising vision. Ever since the closure of local acts Mudbox and Judge Drain, remaining members were brought together by the means of a shared concept. While digging deep into their metal roots, they began to structure and refine their sound. It was during this bitter cold season Ashes of Your Enemy was born.
In late 2005, the band entered Illegitimate studios with producer Max Illidge (40 Below Summer, Black Market Hero) to record a 4 song ep. Once released, it wasn't long before their music began to generate a buzz among the metal scene and the music industry. They pounded the tri-state area club scene with their style of metal, backed by a riveting, high-energy live performance.
In December of 2006, Ashes of Your Enemy signed a deal with Crash Music Inc. They then headed back into the studio with Max Illidge. What came out was their debut album “The Undying”. 10 tracks of pure thrash influenced metal that gave their fans just what they were looking for. After the realease of “The Undying” in late 2007, Ashes of Your Enemy embarked on a nationwide tour with Hell Within.
In 2008, the band parted ways with the label, and are once again free agents and officially unsigned. Not letting the split from the label get them down, they headed for the studio once again to record their latest material, “Embodiment of Rage” and “Cancer Society”, along with a music video.
Ashes of Your Enemy are anxious to see what the future holds for them in the upcoming months as a new year unfolds.
